Home | Rules
Hate, Love, fear, and greed. Only four of the many things that drive a human to acheive things that they desire. Blood is often the price to be paid, or someone's soul. These things all went into the building of the iron wall that surrounded Anorith. People were terrified of the idea of the wall. It would cost many lives and it would break families. It was a costly decision.
The Elves tried to reason with king Cyric, but he would not listen. How could a wall to protect his people be such a horrible thing? They brought their wisest elder to the king who prophesied of wars and in the end, the defeat and downfall of Anorith. Despite the Elves' warnings; the king went on with the construction of the iron wall.
They built its inside with iron, supporting it on the inside with stone and iron columns, and covered the outside of the wall with white stone to show its elegance and strength. The wall was completed but it was just as the people had feared, many of their own perished in collapses of failed attempts of new techniques. Nonethelesss, the wall did just as the king hoped, it sheltered his people like a mother protects her child.
Seven years before the wall's construction, the king's sister Rhiannon was given powers beyond any human's, and she grew jealous of her brother's position as king. Why should he rule if he was so weak? She plotted against him, planning several ways to kill him and those who would remain loyal to him. During her first attempt, she was seized. The people pleaded with the king not to kill her for fear that she would use her magic against them instead, so Rhiannon was banished.
Rhiannon had followers, and she commanded them to rebuild the ruined city of Battonia. Battonia was located in a dry land, where it was extremely difficult to grow crops because of the sandy soil. They established a trade agreement with Anorith through deception. The king thought his sister was dead or wandering in the wild, living as a hermit or wildwoman.
The Battonians were able to create a working agriculture system, but they craved beautiful land. Green land. They missed the rivers and forests of their former home. They missed Anorith. Many people tried to leave, but Rhiannon stopped them. She was too powerful, and they could not escape. Instead, she assembled her army, and raided one of Anorith's villages.
Now, King Cyric knows Battonia is alive again and is full of evil conjured by his once beloved sister. Battonia is stronger and it is ready to attack the very walls of Anorith. The iron wall. Anorith has next to no army. They were always a peaceful kingdom, and now they may regret their decision greatly. Many Elves' minds have been poisoned, and they have joined with Battonia. What is left of the pure Elves, stay in their forest palaces, planning their move. How to save Anorith and to destroy the corrupt.
But now, King Cyric is dead, and the only ones left to take his throne are his daughter Estelwen and his oldest son, Feredir. Neither of them want it. It seems to be the end for all of Ander.
